Cabinet finishing for kitchens and built-ins
Existing cabinets may be worth keeping when their color or coating no longer fits the room. We first assess the cabinet material, the condition of the existing finish, and the result you want. From there, we can recommend whether a painted or stained finish is suitable and what preparation the surfaces need.
For cabinet projects, doors and drawer fronts are removed and finished off-site while fixed cabinet frames are prepared and finished in the home. We clean, sand, make repairs included in the agreed scope, and prime as the surface requires before applying professional cabinet coatings. Counters, floors, appliances, and nearby furnishings are protected. The written proposal lists the surfaces included.
The Hidden Hills kitchen photos show white cabinetry, tile and quartz surfaces, tall storage, and a large island with a farmhouse sink. Other photos show a white built-in, dark bar cabinetry, dark built-in shelving, and a formal living room with a stone fireplace and millwork. These are separate project views that show the range of cabinet and interior details Fyne Finishes has completed in Hidden Hills.
Interior painting is available for walls, ceilings, doors, and trim. It can be scoped with cabinet finishing or as a separate project. We review samples in the room so color and sheen can be considered alongside the materials already there. See our cabinet finishing and interior painting services.
Hidden Hills project questions
Can my existing cabinets be finished?
Often, yes. It depends on the cabinet material, the condition of its coating, and the finish you want. Send clear photos of the doors and fixed frames so we can review the surfaces and suggest a next step.
Are the doors and drawer fronts removed?
Yes. Doors and drawer fronts are finished off-site, while the fixed cabinet frames are prepared and finished in your home with nearby surfaces protected.
Can you include a kitchen, built-ins, and a bar area in one estimate?
Yes. Tell us which rooms and surfaces you want included. The proposal will identify the kitchen cabinets, island, built-ins, bar cabinetry, or other areas covered by the scope.
Can you coordinate cabinet work with interior painting?
Yes. We can discuss cabinet finishing alongside walls, ceilings, doors, and trim, or estimate those services separately.
How do I request an estimate?
Send photos and a short description of your Hidden Hills project and the finish you have in mind. You can request an estimate online or call us at 805.208.3267.
